In this lesson, I will show you how to create a new GitHub account. If you already have existing GitHub account, you can use it down the road in this class. If you don't have, stay tuned, I will show you how to do that. All right, let's jump into it. All right, so let's create a new GitHub account. You need to navigate to github.com, and this is a home page for the GitHub. In the top right corner, click Sign Up button. And we have a nice welcome message with a nice galaxy background. So first of all, we need to enter our email address that we want to register account for. I have created the test email address, which is githuser at bondaracademy.com, and click Continue. The next thing, you need to provide a password. So a good thing would be to generate a secure password. So let's do this, fill out the password, and click Continue. In this example, by the way, I used a LastPass password manager. So if you don't have one, I would highly recommend to start using those. This increase security of your passwords. So the next step would be to enter a username. This username should be unique for the entire GitHub. So you can try different usernames and see if it is available or not. For example, let me type something like git user, and let's see, git username is not available. So let's try something different, git user-bondaracademy. This one should be available for sure. Yeah, git user-bondaracademy is available. So this username will be unique for the entire platform, and by providing a username and sharing this username with other people, they can find your GitHub repository, and click Continue. The next question, if you would like to receive any updates or announcement via email, so I type no, and click Continue. So the next step, we need to verify. Click Verify, and here is a little quiz. So we need to put this little pig to the direction of this finger, so it is matched. We are circling around, and now they are pointing to the same direction. Submit, and verification passed. Create account, and now we need to add password, and now we need to submit the code that is sent to this email address. I'm checking the email and entering this code, 78385283. After that, you need to provide information about you or about your team. So I say, it's just me, are you a student or a teacher? I put N-A, Continue. Then we can skip this step as well, Continue, and select which kind of account do you wanna use, free or team account? We will select free account, and that's pretty much it. GitHub account is creating, initializing dashboard, and dashboard is creating, so that's it. We have our account. If you click here on the right, now you can click on the Your Repositories, and here is the place where you're gonna keep all your projects and all your repositories right here, and overview, just high-level overview of your account, your contribution, and other things that you do on the GitHub. You can update your user icon, so it will be more recognizable. Also, you will have some other achievements added there. So if this is your first account, keep this account as a valuable asset. Over the time, it will grow. Over the time, it will have more and more project, and it will become recognizable inside of the community. Also, when you will be on the job market, sometimes recruiters may ask you, hey, what is your GitHub account? Because recruiters may want to see what projects you are working on, what is your contribution level, and so on. So keep this account nicely organized, personalized, and so on. All right, that's it. Account is created. We will use this account for demonstration in the future lessons. All right, see you guys in the next lesson.
